just need a comment on the colors and layout for my site please thats all it is a Beauty Lingerie Site
When I click on "bras" does your site just go to ebay.com and do a search for "bras" and then displays results on your page? Seems a bit pointless. You need to make your design more fluent and look less cluttered. You need a font change and the colours to flow better. I suggest making larger thumbnails when scrolling mouse over the image as well.
Before I even clicked the link, based on domain name, I was anticipating a pink color scheme - so for me, the colors suit the content theme perfectly. I also like the AdSense implementation underneath your header, but I do think it starts to get a little crowded when it comes to your eBay adverts. The white blocks that are used as a backdrop for your auctions don't integrate well with the pink background. I like the flash header - although it took a while to load - but I would consider getting an image-based logo rather than just the bold text for your heading, 'BEAUTY LINGERIE'. My final suggestion would be to shorten the text and then change the size of the font. The purpose of your site, I'm assuming, is to get visitors to click on to the eBay auctions - this will be delayed and even avoided if the visitor has to read through a long, intimidating block of barely readable text. Hope this helps, Jay
Jay thanks were should I put the content then "" the reason for long content is for the search engines so I climb up naturally" where are saying put content especially for the home page??? or does this matter to Google??? i mean the content! I herd that good content helps the engines index the site for its key word in the templet let me ask you this??? would it be okay to put the content under the auctions???? or would that interfere with the engines indexing my content ???? regards lol
Aaron, I am not an expert on search engine optimization but since you've asked, I would recommend the following; 1. Get rid of that messy block of text from your main page. Cut it down to a short, yet keyword-rich paragraph that summarizes exactly what your site is. 2. Purchase a PLR package on your niche/topic - in this case it's lingerie/women's fashion. Try and acquire 20-30 quality articles on the topic. 3. Re-write them until they pass CopyScape (http://www.copyscape.com). (Alternatively, you can write these articles yourself if you have the time) 4. Add these articles to the appropriate pages of your website. e.g. Add an article called 'A Men's Guide To Understanding Bra Sizes' or 'Determining Your Wife's Bra Size' - something like that - to your 'Bra Section'. Google rewards websites that have unique, relevant content with higher keyword ranking. Your current sub-category pages are not Google-friendly as they contain no content except advertisements 5. If you have money to spend, consider hiring out a person who specializes in SEO from an outsourcing website such as Elance.com. I hope this gives you a few ideas to work with. Best Wishes, Jay
