    Hi all,

I`m making this thread cuz i just received one infraction the reason was "AL".

the reason that make me make this thread was (seeing members doing it "now all thread closed!" and i`m not active in Freebies forum for along time) so i did not know the the new rules.

making the thread go to sleep  waking up with "Thread Closed, Infraction Received", yah that was a big surprise.

I look like stupid in the thread with the infraction, I hope that does not affect my business in the future in Buy, Sell or Trade forums.

Just one warning PM before the [IMG] comes out :)

    Thank You,
    Mahmoud

But you aren't supposed to complain about infractions.

hes got a fair point as this is the place for feedback - i think a "tap" or pm if you screw up the first time is a better way.

    Heres the reason why...

I have issued out around 100 warnings the first day and two. Then I realized people arent reading shit and I had a bunch of repeat infractions. I think moved to normal infractions and I most likely did 100-200 so far. People still are not reading the rules even when they receive these infractions.

So as of right now anything I see is getting a red infraction and getting closed until a majority of the people know the rules.

Heres a prime example of whats pissing me off. Read my posts within the thread also.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=856073

Ive also been visiting threads that Ive deleted over 50 posts, all from the last couple of days of posts that violate the new rule. This is why I havent deleted the posts recently because people dont get to see the post that was associated with the infraction. So for now I am leaving the post so people can go back and see what exactly they posted to get that infraction.

Im going crazy here not understanding why people cant read. Since I am going crazy, I dont feel like issuing any more warnings, just straight to infractions.

And keep in mind... technically infractions are "warnings." They're the warning you did something wrong. Nothing actually happens unless you get 10 points worth of them, and no one else can see that you have them, what post they're on, etc. unless you bring attention to it. As for the PM suggestion, not a chance. The reason the infraction system is used to begin with is the fact that it takes too long to PM everyone (Aaron's already pointed out that we can deal with a LOT of posts breaking the rules every day).

Yep, what Aaron said. I've issued hundreds of warnings already and so have the other mods over the last while. There comes a time when the yellow warnings have to be replaced by the red infractions otherwise people just won't get the message.
