Hey guys, I am not that new to DP, but I am not here as often as I would like. I just found today that I can not post in the sales section, witch is understandable, so I guess I will just as everyone's opinion. In collage right now for Computer Information Systems witch is tech side work, and for the 2 years after that, I will be taking a scripting/coding class. So in the mean time, I am trying to make use of what skills I have. I am at 'beginner' stages of HTML coding and would love to help other get a site going. I have been running forums and building up entry level websites for quite some time now. Like mentioned, these are not your 'blown away' websites, just basic and to the point with few functions in between if needed. I was looking to set up a service that would be really cheap considering I am not 'the best' at what I do, but it is 'good enough' to where those who can't afford $400 for a design, can still get a good one for way less. I have expierence with flash, for banners and I can photoshop logos, all that is very simple for me. I can set up databases and fix errors that others cant. If someone could please give me an idea on how much would a fair price to charge latter on for these services. I will be hoping to offer the following.. Web Design- Logos and Banners- database help- if any of you could give me an idea on what a 'fair' price would be for some of these, I would be greatly appreciative.
If you were in my office and I was interviewing you, I would want to see examples of you work and know how long did you take to complete the designs. What problems you ran into and did you need outside help to solve them. What classes have you taken and at what school? If you don't have examples or haven't done anything yet, take on projects for free to get something on your resume. Do a good job and ask for a testimonial. There is a huge pool of talent on this forum all going after a limited number of projects. You need to stand out.
