Ive seen threads in the template section for people giving away free wordpress themes. Ive just started my new site and Id like to have some free wordpress themes on there available for download. Should I email the person to ask if its ok to place it on my website? I know they are free but I just wanted to double check so I dont make enemies What are your thoughts?
why do u think you should email them, they are giving the template for free for their betterment they will have a link in the footer of the Template linking to their site. So dont worry just use them..
I don't think you should email them/him/her. Templates are free so anyone can offer them for free. What's the big deal?
If they are free you dont have to email them i just think that you dont have the rights to resell them but you can give them away for free. - Prilep
You are giving those templates a free advertising/promotion from your site. Nothing is wrong with that. --Joe
