Well, not really... I'm sure I'm not the first one to discover this... I was upset that I bought a domain banned by Google.. A couple of minutes ago I realized that if you have a domain banned by them you can create a subdomain of that domain and it will NOT be banned by default. I guess that's old news for most of you. I just wonder why - in all threads I've read about banned domains - no one suggested creating a new subdomain to make some use of that domain after all. Anyhow, don't take it as granted. I'm happy now, but I'll do some extensive tests to see if this really works and if G successfully indexes subdomains of banned domains. It would be GREAT if it did. Thanks for reading - I was actually to post this under the General Discussion, but it's Google related and some might find the info useful.
If you have removed the reason for the domain being banned then you should be able to do a reinclusin request. This will work especially well if you explain you have just bought the domain. G has always said that subdomains are seperate sites essentially so it kinda makes sense.
I've talked on other threads about reinclusion, the thing is it takes way too long. A subdomain is an instant solution. Cool
Yes, but a sub domain is also classed as a new domain/website and therefore does not share the age benefits of the actual domain, hence the reason for using directories rather than sub domains for quicker rankings on new projects.
Well, I personally can't wait to get home and rebuild everything on a subdomain of the banned domain. It's of no use to promote a domain which is banned by Google since the best traffic a website can get comes from it.
Bear in mind that if Google is treating it as a new domain then it'll probably be sandboxed for 6-9 months.
I think, you can start with subdomain and in the course of you, you can submit re-inclusion request with google. One of my site was banned, After sending a re-inclusion request, it was not more than 2 month to see the site back into the index.
2 months it's not like 2 minutes. It's a lot of time wasted for nothing. I don't like that. I've even considered dropping the domain name for good, but this idea with the subdomain might've just saved it
So, you are pumped up because you think you might be able to put a subdomain up on a banned domain? You have not done this right? From the little testing I have done, subs are not going to work. The whole deal is blown. But, if you find something different I would love to hear about it.
Recently one of my domain was banned by google. I requested for reinclusion and it was reincluded within 2 weeks. So its better to do a request to include the domain.
