I took a quick look at the forums, maybe you should try integrating adsense?

    Thanks TBarr.

Strangely, I had never noticed that post. I must be blind.

I'm heavily involved with the site now, but the plan is for me to move on and pass ownership and responsibility over to my wife in due time so that I can concentrate on other things. Originally, we wanted to build a messageboard with more reasonable moderation - much like Shawn has here because most of the online mom communities exhibit management characteristics we don't like. The idea for the site grew from there, and obviously we have a lot of building out to do. It's week number one, though.

I've certainly concerned myself with the fact that my wife needs a place online where she doesn't need to be concerned that I'll be seeing every little thing that she writes. Not that we have a terrible relationship or anything, but sometimes you just need to vent a little bit. It has already been a bit of an issue, because I originally just wanted to review reported posts and the feedback forum, but because the forum is new, I've chosen to participate a little bit. It's a bit of a double edged sword, but rather than take it as a problem we may as well find ways to use it as an asset.

The dad site may come around, but frankly I don't think there is much of a market for one.

Funny enough my wife and I were just joking about when we were going to make enough money that we could go get some part time jobs and relieve some of the stress in our lives.

Checksum - yeah, you are right, but with forums being such poor performers traditionally, I thought I'd at least get started without the ads.
