I have 1 gig of RAM but 800MHz of processor. Dang , it is too slow. I believe, RAM, Processor and hard disk speed play a role on the speed.

    Anyway, 12Gig of ram, cool~

    12GB of ram sounds.... impossible.

Most HIGH SPECS motherboard could only support 8GB of RAM, with 4 SLOTS.

You mustve bought some filthy awesome motherboard to support 12 GB of RAM

I'd rather spend my money on something more useful. You don't need 12 gigs of ram to run XP. I guess it's something you can brag about though. 11 gigs would give you the exact same result.

You bought 6 machines and spent over 7 grand to play games with kids that aren't even yours?

Do you light your cigars with $50 or $100 bills?

Yes and all those guys with pirated copies of windows can't run over 3 gb of RAM ( ofcourse xp 32 bit version doesn't detect more than 3GB) But the vista and all those version prior 2003 require a patch in windows to be able to run more than 3GB of RAM. And that patch is available only for genuine license holders( there might be a hack available, because a lot people hate Ms for its policies)

Yes, I do need more than 6GB of RAM. Let's try 64GB of RAM or 128GB for some serious data mining.

64Bit XP is really superb, just the problem is of compatibility with few kernel based softwares.
ONLY 64Bit OS can support more RAM than 4GB . :)

I know something that speeds up loading an OS faster than a SSD.

Ramdrives. I don't mean virtual drives here either - I am talking about a special device that uses ram chips, configured up to 16gb last I checked, and ran as a hard drive. It also has a battery, and keeps the memory fresh. It is the fastest possible way to have an OS run like lightning.

why not load windows into the ram itself? If you stored the whole thing there you'd see some crazy fast performance.

Hah 12 gb ram, i am with 2gb and i am sure that my ubuntu is much faster than your xp. The RAM is not determining factor for the computer speed. I am 100% that you cant use more than 2 GB ;) So you should better bought faster CPU and better video card than 12 gb RAM ;)
    Best regards,
    Sammy

I think either the OP is a retard or he is just trying to create some curiosity...

First of all he said that he bought 12 gb of ddr3 RAM, just for some professional softwares.... If he's a computer expert, then why the hell he is doing this stupidity. Maybe he's getting paid from his office, but why the hell he wants to rob his company for nothing good.
A lot of people said that he's a fake and asked proofs, he said nothing to them. Instead, just came in and poured more of his sh** by showing off some more of dream configs.... And the whats he gonna do, "Play Worms Armageddon and that too again on his office expense". Can anybody explain me why the hell he wants such a giant config to play such a light game. I used to play that game on my P3 and that too with all settings set to high. He's lying it all...

    @NazStory
Thats P6t dude.. Its DDr3 board and have 6 RAM slots. All of the today's high end boards supporting DDR3 memory can handle a max of 24gb DDr3 1600 Mhz RAM.

Anyways, there is no way one can utilize the full 12 gb.. not atleast with XP running worms armageddon. You need to put your HDD's in RAID 0 and moreover need to have a good reason to opt fot this much RAM. Happy day dreaming op.
