I know this is being discussed at length here and I've probably missed someone else pointing this out already, but I've noticed with my sites that gained from 0> as opposed to some that stayed at 0 it's new sites that are content-heavy that seem to be moving up. I don't know if this is true across the board, but it is with my own sites.

I'm not even sure what that actually indicates for the long run, if anything, but it's a trend I noticed to this update with my own sites so I'm curious if it's true of other's as well?

There should only be two types of sites with PR=0: new ones created since the last public PR update and banned ones.

New sites will often take a big jump at the first PR update (although remember this is just an export to public PR of changes already taken into account in Google rankings so don't expect to see any change in ranking as a result). Established sites, precisely because they ARE established sites, won't show changes as dramatic. This does NOT mean that the update is affecting new sites only or new sites more than older sites.

minstrel's right, I've noticed slight movements with older sites too. My comments on the trend I noticed was pertaining to my new sites only. A couple, which have minimal content so far didn't gain any PR; but the rest, which are content-heavy all jumped to 5+.

I too have seen the same results but only for websites that were uploaded before the 15th of last month - mayb (I am not 100% sure about this). I reached this conclusion as I got a PR6 for one of my websites (40 days old) while the other remained at PR0 (20 days old).

    Thats true.
sites launched more than 20 days back have got a PR, while those made after that or even the pages that were indexed after that arent having an PR

i think most people on the forums wont agree to this statement. PR has lost value over time, but isnt a non-sense crap.

I second you on that. PR still has some value left.

Well it one day **may** have value, but not if I can throw up a site with a few pages, get a bunch of backlinks and get a PR5 in 30 days or less.

Geeeez. Google must be copying the MSN algo.

more and more votes and from data of 70 votes, we can conclude that 48 % or half of websites got PR 0 to PR 5.

I don't no whether to laugh or cry. New sites inner-pages gone 0 to 5. Old site's inner-pages some have gone 4 to 0.

Hardly any Googlebot activity since the beginning of this month either, on any sites I run, very strange.

There wasnt... only some datacenters were updated.. there wasnt a full pr update.

This was the completion of that update... id appreciate it if some veteran member could back me up on this one... or well tell me otherwise cause im almost 100% positive this is just the end of the update started a while ago.
