Just imported a database into phpmy admin - is this correct? –

    I have just imported a large articles database and some of the titles look like this

    Riding For The Brand in Yellowstone Country – Montana Bunkho
    Code (markup):
    Have i done something wrong when importing or is there some problem with the character set i am using? i am using UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

    Any ideas?

    the encoding of the new database is different from the original one. Also, database collation could be wrong.

    Steps you can take,
    Manually fixing them
    or setting up the database in.. ASCII? i think.. not sure i forgot which one

    Well i have started to manually remove any table containing any special characters.
    A long boring job....
    But i will get there in the end
