just how bad are .WS domains?

Are they really that bad, and that difficult to get high SERP's with? If you found a decent 2-word keyword available in .WS, would you even bother with it?

Yes, they are a crap ccTLD with very limited resale value. From an SEO perspective, any extention will be treated equally

Man, I stick with the top 3 .com, .net, .org tlds as much as possible. People remember them most. As for purposes of SE indexing, they (.ws, .cc, .name, .info, etc.) weigh in equally just like any other TLD.

One more thing - You can't transfer to other registrar once you has registered .ws...

good points. I'm finding domain registration to be extremely frustrating. EVERYthing seems to have been taken. All 3-keyword .com's, .net's and .infos...and I don't want to start researching 4-word domain names...

    Interesting, I have..
All registrars don't handle .ws tho and you can't transfer it to one of them.

Dot .org isn't worth anything, the 3rd best TLD is Dot .US when it
comes to going up in value...

.us is not the 3rd best one. com, net, co.uk & de are stronger than .us, I would even say that .org is also stronger as well

Personally, I'd NEVER get one. I will always get a .com, and if the name I want isn't available in .com, I will just think of another name. That's my opinion.
