"Get your website listed on all the major search engines including Google, Yahoo and MSN which combined send over 90% of all internet search traffic! Let our search engine submission specialists, submit your website to over 200 of the world's largest search engines, so you can start appearing in natural search listings and receive free site traffic"

right now, its 50 dollars when it is normally 100?

There is no reason to pay anybody anything to submit your site to search engines.
Put one link in a place they crawl - they will find you.
If you must submit - do it yourself - it'll take you a couple of minutes to submit your url to Google, Yahoo and MSN. The other '200' mostly take their results from those, aren't used much and will find you at some point if they're working at all.
    $50 for this is a rip-off. $100 is a complete scam.

Yep, anytime you see an SEO company or anyone offering to submit your sites to the 'major search engines' it is a sign that they no zero about SEO because all you need is a back-link or two floating around to get indexed by all the major search engines.

These days you don't even need a backlink to get found by the major search engines. If you have the Google toolbar installed and visit the site, Google will find out about it.

You don't need backlinks to get indexed but you do need back links to get ranked. I heard google have severely devalued directory backlinks. I try to get mine off bloggers and links pages. The latter isn't supposed to be worth much but I do get some traffic which is great.
