    Hello fellow DP members,

I recenyly achived my $100.00 USD mark for April. I have my payments on hold, and will take hold off so I can get paid.

But, what are these taxes I have to fill out? What will they do to me? Do I get billed? Also I heard you have to be 18 to be paid, I am only 15, and started Adsense at 14. What do I do about that?

    Thanks if you can help.

have you been paid before? Just continue what you have been doing.

If you haven't been paid before, then I'm afraid you may be stuck - the taxes are your own responsibility (google won't hassle you if you don't fill anything in)

But cashing the cheque may be difficult if you're under 18

I'm not an expert though, i'm sure someone will keep you right (remove your sig sites so that someone doesn't report your pub-id).

Lol, I hope no one reports me :(. I didn't do anything wrong.

By the way, I asked a friend of mine, who's dad is a taxer, and he said if your 18 and under and don't have a business tax isn't required.

Also, I have my own bank account, it uses my fathers name but thats ok because I am under 18.

Also, I am not sure there is a problem cashing the check. I received a check from Pepsi, certifying that I won $20 from that Pepsifreeride.com competition, and it had my name Usman Majeed on it, and the bank checked it fine.

So yeah. Any help would be nice thanks.

And, this is my first time receiving 100$ from Adsense.

Since your overall income is probably below the minimum threshhold you can probably ignore the tax question for now.

Are you serious? I thought that $100 is the minimum threshold. I have made $106

you may not have to pay taxes because of your age,but that is not the problem.
in the US, people under 18 a contract is not legally binding.if they find out they will ban you.
if they do send you a check you'll have no problem depositing the check.

the threshhold i think he means is for paying taxes.
overall income of $600 or less is excempt.

Ok. So basically I don't need to do anything?

Also, it says "Important: Submit your tax information" do I just skip that? Or do I have to fill that in?

I looked at the form, and I don't understand some parts.

Oh my gosh. Are you saying they could fine me and get me in trouble?

Well I honestly did not you had to be 18 when I started, I just found out this month.

Also, I heard at another forum, that someone was under 18, but they use there parents name, is that ok? Can I do that?

you can't add/change the name on the account.
you can cash the check if they send you one.if they look at your DOB you won't be getting one.
the tax form,i cant see what you see,but you select which form to use.w-9 since you live in the US.everything else is straight forward.
