Just got tons of traffic from Orkut!!!

Zero, dont accuse alexdale. I know his site are big earners and get major traffic.

alex, did u tried tracing the link in your referrer? just check whats in there?

Some orkut groups are formed for click exchanges just be sure ur site is not listed there. PM me for any help, in fact next time just PM me first lol

i've reviewed many individual link refferers and all of the orkut traffic came from individual users' profile [mostly comments/testimonials] using my flash comments which has a text link under them.

so i guess there's no need to worry? but i emailed them nevertheless just to be sure.

i'm still on a vacation, im actually cutting it short and take the first flight tomorow back to my place just to update my site coz it's receiving high traffic.

i don't know why orkut people have chosen to use my flash comments from my site. maybe it made a chain reaction from one member using it, and then others, etc etc.

like i said, i didnt specify the word "orkut" on my meta tags, description, or any of my pages. in fact the domain has the word "friendster" on it. coz it's supposed to be a friendster site.

so i guess i now have a total of 4 high traffic sites lol. hope this one lasts though.

ah man that's nice 8k adsense click. yeha it's a good step to email them first before they do anything. anyway did you do anything with Orkut so that you got more traffic from them?

for the Nth time, please read all the posts on this thread before posting messages.

the traffic is coming from the tens of thousands of Orkut profiles using my site contents (e.g. glitter graphics) with linkback to my site and is therefore legit.

 

yes it is legitimate traffic.orkut recently allowed orkut users to post html messages(scrap) ie images and you tube videos etc. so earlier the scrap used to be all text but now that images are allowed, users are grwoing crazy with so many options available on various myspace related sites for glitters, animated images etc.

so nothing to worry about!
