Just got Click Bombed - Help Appreciated

    Hi,

One of my sites just got click bombed, and I haven't even opened the site yet! The thing is, I bought a domain that was supposed to be bought by somebody else. I'm sure that this person is behind this.

Anyway, the clicks totalled to 22 (I had setup a channel) and made just $1. So please guide me as to how to go about this. Should I mail Google ?

    Thanks

This was all from a single visitor?
Email G and tell them about it:
Explain the situation and they should forgive you as long as you are careful in the future.

Just sent an email to them. Will probably get a reply tomorrow (doesn't help decrease my anxiety!)

Maybe remove all ads for a while. Until you get an answer.

You've done the right thing by letting them know. It will take some weight off your chest.

I've removed the ads from my site the moment I saw that I had been click bombed. :)

I don't see why Google should "forgive" him. It's not his fault that some other asshole keeps click-bombing his ads. Google should have an automatic system, that filters out "click-bombs", making the click invalid as soon as it's detected.

trust me, you might as well take the site down, i had a problem like this a couple months ago and i emailed google, they just tell you that theres nothing they can do and that you should talk to the person who is trying to do this to you. They wont do anything.

When you're click bombed , the moment you realize it the same moment you are to let Google know about it and then stop worrying....

First, you should e-mail Google about the situation. Next, you should install a click tracking software like Adlogger. I was click bombed not too long ago so I installed this. With this tool, you can basically limit the number of clicks per ip in a give time period. Very useful

Sorry to hijack the thread, but is there any alternative to Adlogger? I was installing it but then found out I don't have any MySql databases to use :( (which you need to set it up)

It is irritating to see people so afraid of the mighty Google. This problem is something Google should have had the foresight to deal with.

    There are always affiliates

I have a software installed on my sites that you can set it to hide your ad after the 1st click. So your ad will not be showed to the same person again after they click on the ad.
The site i got it from seem to be down right now. PM me and I will send the software to you. It is freeware so no copywrite laws being harmed here.

You should set your threshold higher than 1 click. Many times you will get very legitimate multi ads clicks...

Seems you are cutting yourself out of money for no good reason.
