VOB Services LLC contacted me about purchasing meniac.com but didn't suggest a price. He left it open to me. So...

What do you think I should start the negotiations at? I don't want to start off too high and end any chance of a sale instantly, but also don't want to give it away for a fraction of its value.

I figure meniac, being a dot com, and a pronounceable, easily remembered 6 letter domain name (maniac with an e) should be worth a decent amount. Perfect for a men's website dealing with "fun & crazy" topics such as video games, exploding cars, etc.

The only information he currently has, is that my price expectation for the domain is $2,000 - listed on Sedo, but everyone knows that the expectation price isn't really a hard number, it's more like the maximum you expect to get.

So, should I test my luck and send back a $2,000 price tag?

To clarify, I own the domain. He wants to buy it.
