I just received a call about 5 minutes ago from a Steve with YPN. At first I was wondering what was wrong, but it ended up that they just wanted to see how I liked the service. Whether these are random calls or only go out to larger publishers, I don't know; I wouldn't consider myself one of the later though. We discussed the occasional no-show ads and certain targeting issues I think we've all seen, as well as the rather lengthy 45 day payout that I think we'd all like to see shortened. He seemed very receptive, but chances are he was simply gathering info for a survey. Whatever their motives, I'm impressed that Yahoo is taking the initiative to reach out to publishers for input. Seems like they recognize the shortcomings of YPN and are dedicated to making it work for us. Just thought I would share that bit of information with everyone.
Well seems like YPN will definately be a better target for webmasters / internet publishers. Just gotta get them advertisers over there from Google's hands, though.
I am in Canada, nit in US. I cannot apply for the program for a test.:-( You guys are lucky and happY.
I also received a similar phone call a few days ago. I missed it then, but called back when they left their number thinking that something was wrong. However, they just wanted to see how things are going and how they could help me. I told them the same similar things that everyone else has and also added the fact that I have noticed an issue with updates on some days. It seems that that between noon and 2 PST some days their system is not sending updated reports to everyone and the revenue that was reported between 12 and 2 never changes again for the rest of the day even though clicks increase. They did say they audit for these and make corrections, but as I am new to their system yet I am not sure how accurate that will be yet. I hope that this one major issue is fixed soon, but overall they are worlds better in revenue for my sites than google. Kevin
