My son will be leaving for Iraq in a month and is in training right for his new assignment. This is his 3rd rotation, but his first time on the ground.

It was just really good to hear from him. He's a good kid.

I am glad that a call from your son made you happy! :)
Btw..are you not anxious and concerned at the same time, on his deputation to Iraq? I for one, would have been overwhelmed by it, just one month away from it! :(

If you are not, I must say; you both father and son are a great pair and wonderful human beings! :)

    Regards,

Me too im surprised how you're not feeling bad for sending your son to somewhere dangerous, and your country and your son will gain nothing out of this...
    I wish if return safe:)

I hope he will be alright. I though they were pulling troops out of Iraq, not sending more in?

    Good luck to him!

Doesn't mean that the troops don't change, despite there being fewer of them.

Respect for all these people who go to Iraq for nothing. Even if they have sign for it, it's tough to do a job producing nothing, even for money...
Courage, we support the troops. They'll be home soon...

We're pulling out combat troops, most of the troops we have there will be stationed outside the cities.
