My son will be leaving for Iraq in a month and is in training right for his new assignment. This is his 3rd rotation, but his first time on the ground. It was just really good to hear from him. He's a good kid.
I am glad that a call from your son made you happy! Btw..are you not anxious and concerned at the same time, on his deputation to Iraq? I for one, would have been overwhelmed by it, just one month away from it! If you are not, I must say; you both father and son are a great pair and wonderful human beings! Regards, RightMan
Me too im surprised how you're not feeling bad for sending your son to somewhere dangerous, and your country and your son will gain nothing out of this... I wish if return safe
thank you all for your kind replies. yeah, it does scare me, and I also have all kinds of respect for what he is doing. when I say he's a good kid, he is really a outstanding young man and I am proud to be his father.
Don't worry dude we DP members will pray for his goodness.Ofcourse you have to be more proud for having such a wonderful son. I hope god will be with him forever.
Respect for all these people who go to Iraq for nothing. Even if they have sign for it, it's tough to do a job producing nothing, even for money... Courage, we support the troops. They'll be home soon...
thank you very much emtosh. i prefer not to give his first name, but if you can keep him in your prayers anyways, that would be great.
We're pulling out combat troops, most of the troops we have there will be stationed outside the cities.
