just getting started

    I just got hosting at hostgator and a domain for my first site- I have dreamweaver but am still using NVU- I just have no idea now how to get my site uploaded, do i upload it to my domain name or the dns? I know i have to wait 48 before i can publish since i just created the account but im confused anyway

    You should still be able to upload your site, before propagation
    Try using your primary ip address, instead of ftp.domain.com as the host

    Use the IP address and upload everything to your public_html folder, then you can check the site by going to:

    <IP_address>/~<your_username>

    EG:

    83.46.102.4/~brianforums
