I don't really have the time to fiddle around with websites at the moment but I think it is a pretty darn good one from leet.

Big 2 thumbs up for you man. I applaud you for your discoveries. You deserve every cent of what you got.

If you remove your Pub id then you will not earn anything while it's not there. It seems pointless to me. People have the ads on their sites to earn and not to show them freely. If you want higher earnings per click, then change your niche.

You earning more could have just been a coincidence.

You obviously did not get the point or you just did not read it carefully. You will not earn while your pub code is gone, but once the bot visits your site when the pub code is blank, it will start showing high paying ads. At that time you will place your pub code again and will get the benefit of high paying ads till the next visit of Google bot.

    Leet,

Just been reading through the entire thread. Very interesting idea. Not one I want to use at the moment, but it does make sense.

Great of you to share this with everyone.

I did read it and now exactly what you meant and yes it still seams pointless. Why would I want to keep removing and adding back the code. If you have a forums, it's not like as if a robot comes by once a week. Everytime a new page is created a robot looks at the page after the first pageview of that page as it adsense code triggers something to tell the robot to visit it as it's a new page, most probably. Once that's done it will probably be back a few times in that day or may come by after the page has changed, which will be everytime someone posts.

I don't understand what you mean here. I for one definitely are not insulting anyone. This is a discussion forums and that is what you do with them. I could say that it's the best idea ever, but then I would be lying from what I believe which would not help anyone.

If it works for leet then thats great, but I'm just saying that I personally would not do it, I'm not telling him to stop what's he's doing.

John I don't think you are fully comprehending exactly what this does. You would do this if you are not receiving high paying clicks, $1 and $2 a click are pretty good. Lets say a person is getting 100 clicks a day but only getting 8,10,15,25 cent clicks. Now this person wants to make more money, so he uses this method. This person is now making well over $100 a day with the $1 and $2 clicks. I am not saying you should do this and I don't know if it is legal or not, but just trying to help you understand.

Also I think he's saying the Google bot will stay on your site longer with the pub id gone. That is a very good thing from a index and Adsense standpoint.

In theory the same thing would be accomplished by removing the ads completely. Since that is completely legit and doesn't involved modifying the code (which as many people point out is against TOS) I don't see why people would do something risky when a completely safe alternate solution exists.

I don't understand what the issue is here.

It's not illegal. DP does it, and I doubt it would still be standing after all these years. When working on a website, G encourages you to remove your publisher code to keep the valid impressions to a minimum. What does that mean, that they're encouraging you to break the TOS? No. There's nothing wrong with altering the code.

As for the method itself, it's intresting. I'll definately give it a try.
