Seems like you are testing this too, even tho i still see your PUB ID on your blog. But what makes me curious is, how come on a seo blog in a seo article (ex. on post 5 Quick Tips: Maintaining A Responsive Optin List) i see ads related to diet and weight loss  ...and the only word i might see in your code that contains something like "weight" or "diet" is this commented adsense line you have <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->.

Do you maybe have a secret that you would like to share with us? :p

I know leet has a great knowledge about adsense and earns a lot from adsense..

I am sure removing publisher id is not against TOS..
There are many themes, scripts having adsense and which are available for free download comes with no pub ID..

My problem is low CTR :(

    Thanks for the trick.

i said to swap ADVERTISERS, not pub i.d... that means use affiliates, ypn, whatever... the object is to remove adsense entirely from the page.

you aren't the only person out here who thinks that sending adsense all the click revenue is somehow going to buy you a higher epc when you put the pub i.d. back.

but there is absolutely no logic behind that notion... it's nothing more than urban legend.

for those who can't be bothered to read the tos:

"Any AdSense code must be pasted directly into webpages without modification. AdSense participants are not allowed to alter any portion of the code or change the behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads."

Urban legend? I have proof that it's working. Do you have any proof that it's not working and just an urban legend? After all, did you ever try? Don't make statements here without trying. And we call it research here, not urban legend.

Plus, swapping won't help you a bit at all.

I tried it but wasn't successful. I saw a slight change but not enough to waste 3 days.

    30clicks =43cents.

Nope looks like it doesn't work for me.

deliberately violating the tos is not called "research", lol... and no, i didn't try it, because i'm not about to take the risk of losing my adsense account over it.

how do you know that removing the ad blocks doesn't have an effect? you haven't presented any test data to back up that claim.

It works if it even did a small jump.

I had tested it on my several trash sites, and all were succesful. I can provide before/after screenshots soon.

If you didn't try it, do not make statements about it, because all you're doing is fluff then.

Yes. Just delete it and leave there blank.

man.. why taking the risk of your account?
IMO, do not do this unless you are too experimental.

i might try swapping it out for adbrite ads. there was talk of something similar to this where you would take adsense off all your sites for about a week or so and you would be "unsmart priced". this is most likely the same thing.

Have you ever seen someone banned because of leaving the pub id blank?

I'm not sure if swapping it out for some other ads would help you to achieve higher eCPM rates.

Leaving it blank would make GOOG happier since they dont have to pay you. Why would they ban for it ? I haven't tried it because I am still not convinced that the increase will worth few days income. Yet I dont have any account yet on YPN or adbrite for substitute :(

    Read the rules carefully....
You're not allowed to ALTERING the AdSense ads codes and ITS BEHAVIORS.
I think by removing your pub-id, it will against the rules.
    How about these cheats:

    http://www.angellica2017.com/google-adsense-cheats-and-weakness

    Is it allowed?
Some coding doesn't touch the AdSense codes directly. But the account may get banned when implement this cheats.
Whaddaya think? Still wanna altering your AdSense code?
    I don't think so...

I don't think you are allowed to alter the code in anyway. Sure, you can take the ads off but not allowed to change bits of the code in any way.

And you read the thread carefully. No need to keep talking about the TOS. If you believe it is against the TOS, you simply don't use it. That's it.

Again, have you ever seen someone got banned because of leaving the pub id blank?

Leet: there's no reason to keep trying to convince others about the TOS. You did it with your websites and unselfishly shared what you found here - nothing wrong with that.

And that's what I'm trying to tell everyone :) I just shared, it's all up to you to use it or not. But this kind of behavior just cools me off from sharing elite info.

I've seen all of your site using YPN rather than AdSense.
Where's the link that you're implement the AdSense codes?

    Regards
