Thanks. The affiliate programs make up a fair portion of the revenue from that site. You'll have to split test things to see if your conversions are high enough to end up replacing the adsense units with affiliate offers. I've actually found that adsense out-performs many affiliate offers, and its often just WAY easier to just throw the adsense unit up there and not have to worry about testing affiliate offers.

Health niche. Please read the thread, I don't really advertise my sites anymore.

The reason that I made the 2nd post in the thread was to show people that if you aren't making much through Adsense right now, DONT GIVE UP! This sort of thing takes time.

Hey! I totally appreciate your effort and help. You don't have to defend yourself against others who are just a bit jealous of you. I don't care if they (jealous people) make more money than you and less or whatever, they should just shut the f*** up cause i don't see them offering help to newbie;s like us. Cause I think you;re the first person who came forward and offered your help and i see that you;re answering all the questions.

I'm back to bother you little more.
    Q. 1 How many total posts you have indexed?

    Q. 2 How often you add the new content?? every day, every week or every month?

    Q. 3 I read somewhere that you stopped caring for PR long ago, but what;s your PR anyway?

    Q. 4 is it a simple blog with wordpress or there some programming involved???

    Q. 5 since you're blogging for a long time. Is it true that more mature content or senior content has more values than the new content??

    Q. 6 for the health niche the one you;re making your main money making site, How many other network of sites you have to support that site?

    Q. 7 did you buy different server for all the different sites?

    Q. 8 Google changes it algo whenever, and i know that quantity don't matter only QUALITY matters, but does blogging provide good main income?? I mean you;re successful, but how many percentage people are successful doing blogging?

    Q. 9. i read somewhere that you stopped spending on advertising your site, but let;s say if you;re told to make a brand new site today, what would be your approach? How long would you wait to see where you;re heading?

Thanks for your time again. :)

So your earnings have hardly gone down since you started working on these sites. I hardly make 20% of what I used to make 3 years back!

    Hey there Tmnoonan.
I have a website (located in my signature) that is earning about $1 to $3.5 per click.
Now I see that you are successful with AdSense so I just wanted to ask you if you think my new
ad-layout is ok. I just finished adding ads to the front-page in hope that my CTR will go up a percentage or so,
but at the same time I don't want it to get too spammy.

Is the ads making it look spammy and do you have any other advice for maximizing the profit from them?
I know quite a bit about AdSense, but it's always nice to get some good advice from someone who has
    more experience.

    Thanks! =)

Ad placement and layout look fine. I'd focus more on creating quality content that people will actually read, benefit from and tell their peers about.

Not sure how I missed those.

    California S-Corp

    Q. 1 How many total posts you have indexed?
I assume you mean pages because I don't do posts. Any that would probably be over a million?

    Q. 2 How often you add the new content?? every day, every week or every month?
Personally, I don't. Please read the thread. Mostly my users add it for me.

    Q. 3 I read somewhere that you stopped caring for PR long ago, but what;s your PR anyway?
Pagerank. There is plenty of info on it in DP.

    Q. 4 is it a simple blog with wordpress or there some programming involved???
I don't make money from blogs. Most sites are custom coded by myself.

    Q. 5 since you're blogging for a long time. Is it true that more mature content or senior content has more values than the new content??
I don't blog, but this is true. There is content that was added a while ago that always receives good traffic.

    Q. 6 for the health niche the one you;re making your main money making site, How many other network of sites you have to support that site?
50ish. The answer is in this thread.

    Q. 7 did you buy different server for all the different sites?
5 hosting accounts and 1 dedicated server.

    Q. 8 Google changes it algo whenever, and i know that quantity don't matter only QUALITY matters, but does blogging provide good main income?? I mean you;re successful, but how many percentage people are successful doing blogging?
I don't blog for an income. Please read the thread.

    Q. 9. i read somewhere that you stopped spending on advertising your site, but let;s say if you;re told to make a brand new site today, what would be your approach? How long would you wait to see where you;re heading?
Link to it from my other sites.

    Huh?

Are you still working just as hard?

I have invested a lot of time to make sure my strategy is to provide VALUE to the internet. If the internet is better off without me, I haven't done my job. I'm not in it for the quick buck. I'm not trying to promote some scammy ebook or rebill product that will be gone in a month. I'm not trying to manipulate google to get to the top of the SERPs.

I'm creating quality content that is helpful to visitors, regardless of Google. That is what lasts, and I'm the guy that Google will always be looking out for long term.

Switch to a different ad network, sell off websites or start a new corporation and re-sign up to adsense.

I'm not doing anything against adsense TOS, so there is no reason I should get banned. Again, in it for the long run. I play by the book.

Please read the thread. Keywords that are timeless that people will always be searching for are better for the long run.

    Thanks! Me too!

    Please read the thread.

Probably average 30-35 hours per week, however it fluctuates a lot. Some weeks less than 20, other weeks more than 50.

I am curious about the template style of sites you have.

Are you using the plain ugly look to drive users to click the ads?

What about ad placement, are you using Heat Map areas?

Sorry if this was covered in the thread but their where a lot of posts to read.

The plain ugly look keeps everything simple and classic. No need to get all fancy.

Not using heat map areas. Just trying to get the classic positioning it in the classically most popular areas.

As you are replying all posts here I'll ask other question:

Do you think is easier to make a lot of money with 1 or 2 sites with many pages or 10-20 micro sites?

I'm asking this because I have only one site (still not added google ads, i'm building it) and my strategy is to have only 1-2 big sites and not 10-20 small sites using adsense.

I'd say 1-2 big sites for sure. You can focus your attention on one big one, and put fourth your best effort to make it something that people will come back to all the time. Also, Google likes bigger sites better than micro sites. If you can have one site that google LOVES, you get to leverage that google love with each new post you make.

Definitely less sites. Because most people don't even finish their 10+ sites, so none of them is absolutely done.

If you have 1-2, you can focus on them only and promote them everywhere, which is easier than 10. Plus, do you have the time to manage so many sites?

I have the same opinion... my plan is to have only my actual site and probably another in the future. I don't understand how some people are able to manage 20-30 sites.

    Another question. lol

What is the advertising way you got better results?

Even in the beginning? Because is impossible to make $10k per month with absolutely zero advertsing... maybe if you are a SEO guru.

The majority of my Adsense income is through sites that I have purchased. My flagship site was advertised years ago when I first started it by doing whatever I could. Guest article writing, signature linking, buying links, buying sites and redirecting them, forum posting, blog commenting, everything I could possibly do.
