Just did my first $10,000 month on Adsense! Took me nearly 5 years! Ask me anything

I'm trying to do more writing. I'd like to open this up for questions to give me some writing ideas.

Total February: $9,969 (I was soooo close!)
Total March: $10,542

A few things about myself:

1. Built my first website (also my most successful) in 2006. That one site generates about 45% of my adsense revenue.
2. 16 sites that did over $100 a month. 3 of those I built myself, 13 of which I purchased.
3. 15 sites did between $50 to $100 as well.
4. I don't spend a penny on advertising.
5. These websites are my only source of income.

Question: My Blog is 80days old, I write 2 short articles every day (100-150) words. I have SEO Optimized it because I have experience in link building. I'm now recieving 50-120 unique visitors from Google. I get less clicks, but the good thing is that my CTR is very high. I get £1-£8 for each click, so my question is if I increase the number of articles submitted to my blog (lets say 5-10 a day) will i see double traffic or more than double?

I would like to work hard and bring in more traffic, but I don't want to look spammy infront of google with the short unique articles.

Actually couple of questions, what is your monthly traffic on average, no need to pull out GA. How many clicks are you getting?

 

It depends on the quality of your articles, also depends on how fast google is indexing your site. 50-120 visitors per day from google is GREAT for a site that is only 80 days old. If all of your 2 articles/day are getting indexed, then you can probably get away with writing more, as long as they aren't recycled junk that you've already used but just decided to rewrite.

Focus on creating quality content, and stay in it for the long-run.

 

Monthly traffic for March was 1.5 million visits across ALL sites. I don't think I can tell you how many adsense clicks per TOS, but it was certainly a lot.

 

That's alot of visits. Whats your niche at 45%? Get it told

 

Yeah quality of the articles are great and they are all unique. It's like a how-to blog but focused on technology. Articles get indexed under 1 hour or at sometimes under 20mins. I'm using blogspot so this might be the reason of fast indexing. I will be writing more

It has to do with health

 

Glad I picked the same niche. Not just saying that, I started using Adsense a month ago, I have only been running CPA stuff for years. Out of all the niches health at my guess was the best paying, probably had something to do with the berrys and major saturation.

 

Sure, I have a question.

Did you make most of your revenue money doing things like:
A) Saying make "TONS OF MONEY"
B) Writing a blog about yourself and how you make a lot of money
C) Telling other that you make a lot of money and they can make a lot of money too

The reason I ask is because it seems that you promote yourself and your money
Example:
Siggy: Follow my life's work, tom's adventure, I made $10,000 a month on adsense, the fact that you clearly elaborate that money in this topic but really other than that point there is no other.

Awesome job, congrats! Much like my story..even started in 2006.. Except I never went past 3 or 4 sites, and one has always been the big money maker. Now ima have to think about more sites again.

 

i don't really have a question. just want to say props for being so successful and profitable with your website! you inspire all of us who aren't doing (nearly) as well as you to work harder and stay motivated.

 

Back when I was generating $10k-$14k/mo, I did the same thing.. Many people need encouragement and help.. I still try to help in my blog even though now I only make a measly $5k-$6k/mo ...

Seriously, one day you internet people are going to get outside, then I'm going to be walking downtown and every third store is going to be named "I MAKE Lots of money" then you are going to walk in it and they will hand you common knowledge 15yr facts about seo and really they should say that they made their money by releasing information that they make good money then they got publicity.

It is not encouraging. In general most people who make these topics are only doing it to make more money for themselves.........And I introduce..........shoemoney...........The guy who got rich by saying he is rich!

Don't get me wrong. Tom here is probably a pretty nice guy. He looks like a nice guy anyway but if I make a topic and say for example:

I got screwed online, I did everything right and got screwed.

What right do I have to pester people with my online adventure why should he brag on the opposite end.

I did sell an ebook here at DP.. Over 1000 copies at $10, with 99.999% positive feedback.. Not a word about SEO or anything like that.. And, for the last 4 years that ebook has been available for free in my blog.. My blog, which BTW has zero advertising it.. It is there solely for the purpose of helping and encouraging other webmasters.. And.. If you look at the About Me page on the blog you'll see a pictue of me and my new Jaguar XF. . .. Maybe you should read my ebook .
