i have been working over full time for the past 3 yrs, no matter what i just couldnt push to the top like the biggies in the internet. i have as much as 10 different sites, all i could pull is maximum $300 for a single site. Others benefit from adsense. No matter what, i just cant push the earnings. I am missing something here. Why i cant make a million dollar site for myself? Nonethless i am happy with what i make from my skills.
You know that there is adsense, adbrite, text link ads and all other CPM/CPC advertisments. Probably you try to customize your site for those advertisments and also get more backlinks and be on better position in search engines. Thats right thing to do but usually if we find one solution to earn money we dig so deep into that money making scheme that we go into details. We should not forget one thing - being creative. It's not enough to be creative on website development but we should also be creative in making money. List all the possible ways there is to make money with your site and put them on the paper. After that choose one of the ways and start developing it. After that look the results and go over the list again to update the list. Then repeat it. Thats the slower and more secure way to move (i think). But for fast results you just need to get attention of people. You should give people what they need.
You do know that with every business there is some luck involved and not everyone is lucky the people that do have million dollar site are just plain lucky. Life can be unfair.. deal with it!
All those million dollar sites have one thing in common. They are all original ideas at the time that they are launched.
