Well, I just bought over this Shakira Fan Site http://www.spicyshakira.com and was wondering what I can do to improve the site. Thanks.
The background is a bit distracting. You want the focus on the content, not the ripplies. Roll overs are you friend. So make them feel not so neglected and invite them to join in on the links at the top. I need to be able to tell what I'm clicking, especially on an image map. Same goes for the bottem. The link color is too close to the text color. It does need to be similar, but I need to be able to instantly tell what's a link and what isn't. And consider having links to an outside site open in a new window. I know some people don't like it to be forced and insist that if the user wants a new window they can do it themself. But either do it for them or mention that they will be taken to another site.
check if the content duplicate, i hope it is not just check the bio page, seem like content is being use in different site check it with http://www.copyscape.com/
I tried that for my site. It gave me seven places that used the same menu code as mine. Didn't help at all. Is there anything else like it?
I think It looks good. You need to add more content. The background color Is a bit hard on my eyes but thats just my opinion.
Thanks. I definitely see what I can do about it. Part of the reason why the contents may not be original is that it relies partly on an RSS feed to update certain portion of the website and as such there would be duplicate information when that is concerned.
