Alright I just bought an amazing domain for $xx,xxx via private sale and I need to develop it ASAP.

    The domain is *******Homes.com

I can't reveal the domain name but it is EXTREMELY premium and gets over 300 type ins per day. Not to mention over 40,000 searches on google per month for the exact phrase.

Now, because it has so many possibilities for development I can't decide on what to do.

The niche: Real Estate, Beach Homes, Lake Homes, Mountain Cabins, Island homes, etc.

I don't really want to go with the regular minisite development as I have grow tired of it. So I need the brilliant minds of DP (lol) to help me brainstorm...

If you can PM me the name, I may be able to suggest something better out of it. As I don't wish to suggest regular old things.

You probably should of had a business plan before spending that much on the domain. Let me think about it and get back to you on some business ideas.

It would take some time developing but having a vacation homes site for people to advertise to buy, rent and sell vacation properties would be very profitable.

Yeah I was thinking about that just now, I have Platinum Real Estate running on ebay affiliate generating some income. I think it might be ok to put that same sight on the domain I just purchased temporarily.

That would be a good start so the domain is not just sitting there if it is getting alot of type ins. Then develop it to start listing client properties. Charge advertising fees or commissions (they could be huge). Or both if you think you can.

The obstacle is getting the site to look like a sucessfull buying, renting and selling portal so potential customers feel like it is worth thier time and investment to list their properties on your site. Of course after time if the website acutally did assist customers is buying, selling or renting properties you would get alot of referral business.

Yeah that was my initial thought exactly.

I'm thinking about doing a commission based payout so that more listings are added by agents who are low on cash and homeowners who just want to skip the agents.

I just remembered I also purchased (creative home loans dot com) lol. ahhh I love domaining for a reason! I don't think I have enough time to develop my domains along with my client's domains... *prays* God please give me 28 hours in one day :)

Tell me about it. I also always have to many projects going at once. Well I live in Colorado and I can
tell you that the mountain properties sales are still healthy even with the slow economy. Usually rich people that
buy and sell vacation homes are not as affected by the economy as the working class. So there is
still a good market for vacation homes even when most other real estate markets are hurting.

Check out www.vacationhomes.com. Somthing like that but for buying and selling would be nice. I am
sure there would be quite a few competitor websites though.

Yeah I know, I'm out of Florida and most of the beach homes here sell like candy. I like that script, and the domain is similar but more direct. I wouldn't want to copy the site, but I do like the functionality.
