Seems you have a browser hijacker or a spyware. this happened to me too. When I was trying to access Google Mail I was getting another senseless site under that domain name. The solution is clear your cache , delete all your cookies and flush your DNS. If nothing happens then format your PC Cheers Olgi
Chdatweb, thanks for your advice and letting me know about how it went for you - I appreciate that. To be honest, I did just check the DNS, I was certain I'd done it right and I had in fact. So that wasn't it. Actually I think the cache idea might help and along the same lines, I recall actually refreshing my screen when the errant website came back. It's been ok since, so it may well have been in the system or the computer memory or cache - don't know, but doesn't your computer make memory files? Temporary files and the like, so since I started up the browser again it hasn't occurred. I think that its a third party concoction that probably works for a limited time, and makes money. Im pretty ok now and am well on my way towards creating a new site with the domain. thanks again
Hi, you welcome. Yes actually IE and the likes create cached copies of sites on your computer for faster browsing, although i was sure a manual re-fresh cleared it. Maybe if your using IE select this option while your working on the site, it will deffinaltey give you a realtime picture of whats happening. IE -> tools - internet options - general - temporary internet files - settings: Under "Check for newer version of stored pages:" choose "Every visit to the page". This will hopefully solve any caching issues, but would recommened switching back to "Automatically" otherwise the whole page will be downloaded each and everytime you visit a site. Hope that helps
