If another site spams your site on the forums say 50 threads of the same exact thing...and they are using a proxy and the domain they are using is hidden is there any way to counter this? Can you still contact their host somehow? Thanks

*Edit* Just found out their host and ip...is it possible to get them shut down for this? Or will a host not care, thx

Yes, you could contact their host by checking the whois information of the domain. The rest depends on the policy of the webhosting company.

You would be better served by spending your time protecting your site from this type of spam.

Even if you succeed with getting his host to suspend him you are just waiting until the next attack by someone else.

However, if you spend your energy protecting your site, then you have solved the problem permanently.

if each post is from a different IP, then you may be out of luck.. if its all from 1 ip, create some sort of wait time after posts, say... one can only create a post every 2 minutes, keeps spammers from spamming when they have to wait
