Hi there I have been reading some threads here where posters will offer services. Some of these services are to some here obivious scams, cheaters, ripoffs, and over all bullshit. One offers to resell sites he makes from a program he bought to automatically generate sites. He wants to sell each site for the price of the program he paid. Lets be honest anyone can buy the automatic site generating software for the price of one of this guys $99.99 miracles. Others want to post this in this forum or blog this play games and a myrid of other inane ideas. So why do people feel... that when they make these BS offerings... that those of us who hate seeing others ripped off, won't question them?? Well I for one will question anyone who I think is full of shite. You're offering a service does not mean you or your offer is honest or legitimate. As I live in the USA, my constituion gives me the right to free speech online and offline, and I will use that right each time I think someone is about to be ripped off. This is an open forum and posters offering services should realise you may be questioned. Try to humor us with non defensive non-insulting posts. If you don't like it find a forum where scammers are tolerated. Others thoughts please!!!
I will post meaningful replies in this thread for $0.05 per word. It will generate additional interest in your topic and other users will see it as a thread of interest. PM with offers, thank you.
My feelings are is the seller does not care if you question their service or not. How many times have you seen this scenario: 1. someone is offering a service that was questionable 2. a fellow dp member comes in and raises some red flags 3. multiple newer people come along and still proceed to use the services. Too many people are thinking with their wallets and not with their heads. That's money in the sellers pockets.
Very true .....but I also see the indigent response and depending on the person who is doing the questioning, at times thier questions are dismissed and run over, taken so far off topic.... that the newbs don't see the question as a red flag.... and then don't think with their heads as much as they should as you say....
I am assuming you are refering to my services since you posted this same accusation in my thread. As I replied to in the thread, my sites are hand coded by me. Not a software generated program. As I also said in my thread, I welcome any criticism of the quality of my work. But accusing me being a scammer is offensive. In addition cpucandy, I sincerely care that the integrity of my service is questioned. I care more about my repuation on DP than the piddly little hundred bucks I am selling the sites for. Not only did I work hard on coded those sites, I pride myself on a good SP reputation and positive business practices. I do not know why Sem-Advance feels the need to attack my perfectly legitimate offer.
I don't really see why you shouldn't be able to question services especially when people are putting their money out there for it. If the service provider can not defend himself, you know that he's not legit. I think as a community it is best to ask questions, look at the war in Iraq for example
I fully agree. But, Sem Advance's post in my thread was "Also the example shown is from an adsense site generator, for sale by Jonathan Ledger in which he includes 25,000 articles" This is not a question it is a blatant accusation and outright lie. Now if he were to post "Hey, your example site looks like it might have been generated by an adsense generator, was it?" I would have been very appreciative of him bringing it up this way. Then I could realize others may view it like this and I could respond accourdingly. And Sem, I too live in the US. We do have freedom of speech, but slander and liable are still crimes. For further justification, if you still doubt that my content is original. Here is my post on DP hiring the content writers for this service: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=71149
I actually have a copy of that site generator, I d/l'df it for free but have not got a chance to try it out yet...
SEM, you are right that people should have the right to QUESTION other people's offerings, but based on what I have seen you need to look up the definition of the word. What you said in thewindmasters thread was an ACCUSATION. If you truly were just trying to question the service you would have asked why his sites looked like they were made out of a generator instead of hand-coded instead of jumping to conclusions. Overall it is fine to raise doubts and ask questions to people offering services, obvously no one wants to pay for something they don't want or need and didn't agree to buy. But if you think that means you should tarnish people's reputation without proof you are dead wrong. If you looked through thewindmaster's other threads he was clearly paying article writers for lots of original content just a few weeks before his site-offering came out. I myself am more inclined to believe he is selling original content at this point. And as stated above you never really offered proof at any given point. Simply saying something does not make it true.
