Just added a product to CB as a vendor -- ideas to get affiliates

So, I just wrote a fairly comprehensive ebook on creating PowerPoint presentations and put it up on clickbank. Now, I'm in need of affiliates.

(Disclaimer: I am new to clickbank.) Any suggestions to find affiliates for my product?

I have set the product pricing and commission as fairly competitive. The price is $50 at 40% commission.

I am willing to give affiliates added incentives beyond the commission thru CB. Am open to your ideas, so please share.

    Thanks.

Why not put your CB link in your sig? Forum promotion is one way you can find affiliates.

First of, you can start on Forums and try to contact a few webmasters for possible JV's.

Other than that you need to get your product out there so start publishing tons of articles and you'll get noticed by tons of affiliates shortly.

In order the affiliates to have interest in your product, I think you should increase the commission. Why have 40% commission and then offer additional incentives beyond the commission. Remember, affiliates should have the bigger part of the 100%, not you.

Next to offer is link to your product, as well as some conversion rates from your testing.

If you complete these 3 steps, you will have no problem finding affiliates.

Here's some ideas - start an affiliate beginners blog that gives them advice on how to market, and have them promote your product
    - Write some articles
    - JV
    - Youtube Videos
    - Make sure your product is ranking for a great long tail keyword; and try to rank up for it in due time.

I agree. Your commission is to low for an affiliae to be incentivized to promote your product. Once you raise it, you can have a contest for affiliates to get them even more excited.

show us a link to your site and affiliate resources page that is a start!

You could probably use Digital point and warrior forum to get the word out there about your new launch as well.

Maybe look for websites on google that are related to your product, contact the owners of these sites and ask them to promote your product.

    Thanks for the great ideas.

Can someone expand more on the JV suggestion? Would I need to already have a respectably sized mailing list to find willing JV partnerships?

    @centarec :)

Youtube, JV's, Articles and Ranking For some long tail keywords will surely attract tons of affiliates since you're exposing your product in front of 100's of affiliates, the process needs to be accelerated somehow, scaled up in order to see some results.

You can also promote your product like you would promote someone else's product as an affiliate? Once you start making some sales on your own and get the gravity up a little on CB, it may be more inviting to affiliates.
