Just a take a quick look at a header I made for my website...

I have very limited Photoshop, so that fact that I could produce what I did is absolutely amazing.

You were discriminating your own work?
Your work is great, only the lower part of the site
has a little problem..

 

Header is too heavy (300kb), takes to long to load and sorry, the images are too blurry, especially the right part. I wouldn't call it "sick" but I would say "Try again!" SY

 

Just got a very unfriendly pm from the OP, I suggest if you review his header you don't say anything negative about it, if you don't want to get an insulting pm. SY

 

the pictures are blurry. =/ good idea though. Also try doing something besides a white BG behind the 2 machines on the right.

 

Insult my header, I really don't care. But I'm going to try to figure out why that would be happening. For example, he said it's "blurry" and it "loads slowly". This can be due to 3 separate reasons or 3 that are working together. 1) Low RAM, 2) Bad graphics card, and/or 3) outdated internet connection.

People who come to my website will sure have gone to many others like Miniclips or Addictinggames before mine and would've also had these problems. Then they would've realized that their computer isn't cut out for this. And it wasn't an unfriendly pm, it was a critique about your critique. What? Can't take constructive Criticism?

 

The images on both sides are like 75% transparent, they are supposed to be blurry (but not blurry to the fact you can't see them).

 

Way too big a file size, takes ages to download. Blurred pictures spoil it too, otherwise it's a good design.

 

The text in the header is difficult to read and there is too much negative space at the bottom
of the page.

 

i like the header
but still there is a little more work to it, try to size it down a bit, so its not that heavy.
the graphic part is okay, could be better,but what the hell, as long is working with the site,its just fine

 

Not bad at all.
But it took about 10 seconds to load.

It's a good idea but it needs to be scaled down in size. It's way to heavy.

 

I think if you make the background color something other than orange it might look better.

 

Cool it would be better if you took a picture of a really sign and put your wording on it

 

yeah file site is a bit big..and I would put the adsense in another row...I know you want the clicks but at the same time you don't want to have users leaving your site

 

the header takes so much time to download..the pattern on the background (hazard?) is cool as well
