Just A Suggestion For YPN

I was hearing about the YPN termination and i felt bad for does people. I think that YPN should give the publishers advice and tell them what they are doing wrong before making that big decision on terminating in account. This really does affect publishers a lot, i mean many people depend on online income to live a better quality life.

YPN is great, but i think they should have some kind of a system that warns the publishers when they are in risk of a account termination. It would be great if YPN could do some kind of contract with publishers that have been in the program for more then then 3 months, and are trustworthy.

    What's your opinion guys?

G closes adsense accounts also w/o prior warning
accounts get closed for TOS viollations

there ARE a bunch of people who consciously go to and beyond the imits of moral ethics in all they do including ads abuse
all have the time to read TOS and all have the option of either staying WELL within 100% secure limits of publishing and ad use
all else take a risk they well knew from beginning and accepted to take

after some public whining they do what they always did - find another hole to get easy money using another account or another ad source

Yes i understand your point, what i don't understand is how there are publishers in the YPN beta, for more then 6 months and then they get terminated. There is no telling one somebody is going to be next, and this is very uncomftorble for the publishers. We need some type of system that can guarantee trustworthy publishers a permanent stay, so we won't be worried about getting booted.

the fact that someone is 6 months in YPN beta in NO way garantuess that these publishes are trustworthy themselves

lts see the truth that some got kicked out of G and then went on to Y
to continue just the same as before

if you follow the many threads in DP you see again and again a freak confirming that he uses "some" technique or self clicks to create revenue

there might be a HIGH % of people who use ANY ad methods only to create money without work

look at the MANY sites using some kind of self created search engine - may be using G search - to CREATE virutal content-on-the-fly displaying actually NOTHING more but some searhc results coming from third party SE ...

and the entire page is plastered full with ads ( G ads or whatever )

I am sure the same happens to YPN as well

true and honest publishers ALWAYS get along
in addition to ad income a honest publisher also shuld find other resources such as donations in exchange of the value he publishes.
it works for me and surely for others as well

ads are but an additinal tip to make publishers life easier and to carry part of expenses

a publishers life and wellbeing never should depend on ad income of any single source

it would be cool if publishers had some sort of ranking from yahoo so they can see how the ypn "system" "values" them on a variety of factors.

Yes, I like the ranking idea a lot. Publishers could monitor their status, and if their rankings started to decline, they could take action to "fix" whatever is causing the issue. Most publishers want to deliver the best quality traffic for advertisers, and all of us want to feel secure about the status of our account.

    ranking is good
but it sounds rather for those whoe love to go low in %

    TOS are the criteria
100% of all TOS clearly met means a 100% clean top rank in terms of compliance

anything else is playing with luck and account loss

TOS are simple and clear - to follow TOS Y or G is easy for all

The idea of ranking the publishers is good but not practical for YPN. They have to compete with Google and Google doesn't give you any kind of warning before terminating your AdSense account either. So, I don't think YPN has any pressure to bind themselve in any kind of contract with publishers. In face we are their slaves and they can kick our boot us whenever they like and I'm not liking that. We need deliberator who comes along and bring something solid of the publisher... just a thought but it's not gonna happen :(

Mike you just said a key point, YPN has to compete with Adsense, so they do need to provide a service that adsense doesn't have, which means they should have pressure on building some kind of contract or ranking service, so that we the publishers can feel more confident in our salary and can switch 100% or at least 90% of are sites to YPN. Trust me not many people are going to switch just because there Yahoo, they need something new, and innovative, so that they can dominate the market in the future.

YPN did, in fact, warn me that my site was violating their TOS (I had images too close to the ads). I redesigned the content so the images could not be mistaken as part of the ads. I re-wrote YPN asking them to review the redesign. I got a letter of compliance, via e-mail, a week later....:)

They have the power to do so unfortunately. It might even be part of their marketing strategy. You just have to be careful, and hope you're not one of the unlucky ones who gets terminated.
