Just a silly (or maybe profitable, your call) website idea

Okay, that idea was born in the presence of Kriek beer, however I still think this might be interesting as a business. I searched around, found nothing, so either it's too dumb to work, or I have miraculously have had an actual fresh idea waiting to improve the internet once it's bloomed.

So, just in case it resonates with someone with ambition and skills, in pure copyleft spirit, I'm sharing the idea

Here's the idea: warning it's NSFW, a "normal girl lookalike prn finder" website. You upload a photo of a face, the website browses an index constructed with facial recognition as its #1 focus, and it returns the satisfactory results for adult workers with a face looking identical.

You market it as a lookalike search: Alabama residents will upload a photo of their cousin, the rest of the world will upload a photo of their female colleague taken on linkedin or something, and they'll find, at long last, raunchy results with a woman (or man, who cares) looking like it's the original.

Of course, rather than return pirate results (or push them down the list), it's best to return affiliate links to the big players since they have all affiliation programs, such as Mindgeek, Mofos, etc, behind the scenes most of the websites belong to only a few actors. Every person finding at long last a convincing lookalike of their real world person will have a high chance to buy a membership at those big sites, and you'll get a share of their membership cost.

I hope that wasn't unwelcome here, we're in the websites section, and I really believe there's a business opportunity to seize for people with the business skills and funds.

Basically, it's not something I could do, ever. Neither the funds, nor the time, nor the skills. But I strongly suspect it's got actual huge potential... and it would be cool, if it existed.
So, hey, why not share the idea on the internet.

 

I wouldn't have said this qualifies as a nice guy behaviour, even though, admittedly, it's a bit creepy as a principle. But, yeah, that could make a killing, I think.

Anyway, if I see this service emerge within ten years, I'll tell myself I contributed to a weirder internet

 

The idea is good but it'll require heavy investment and also the website should have to be a paid one in order to make profit out of it.

I imagined this as a for-profit, non-amateur service, clearly, yes. To sign affiliation contracts with the big players you have to be a company with some weight behind its name already, and/or convince such a company to back that project. And to make the facial recognition work, even though it's no more a science fiction novel material anymore and it's a very real thing, it's still machine learning in action, which is skilled IT work, and needs to be trained with materials only companies will deliver (actually, just taking TGP feeds should do plenty, they are already organized by actress with name and all, generally).

I hope that will become a thing in the future, who knows. Here's to hoping the idea comes to life.
