Definately not. Begin working on building up a quality memberbase and good discussions. How do you plan on monetizing the site?

Very nice domain name you have there.

Nice domain, nice site, nice topic.

I think you really need tons of content on site to read for visitors. You may need forum poster.

I'll tell you my personal experience. I started a forum not long after the 'paid posting' fad hit the big time (you will note that it has died back a bit now, with good reason). I decided to try paid posting and hired two groups to post at the same time with the hope that they would play off each other. All I got was a load of generic posts, mainly in the general discussions forum that were of very little use. I also got a load of butt kissing posts in the news / support threads saying how great my site was when they clearly had no idea what they were talking about.

When the paid posting ended, everything dried up as there were still no real users. All I had left was a forum with a couple of hundred spammy posts - not exactly likely to attract new users.

My advice, don't pay for posts. Every day write at least one good in depth post related to your forum topics. These will be picked up by the SEs and a small fraction of the visitors will sign up to post. This will then snowball, the more good posts you have, the more SE traffic you will get and the more real, worthwile, users you will get. It will not be easy or quick, but there are so many forums about now, covering just about every conceivable topic, that you need to comit yourself 100% if you are going to do it. If you are not willing to write posts every day on an empty forum, or not willing to give 100%, don't bother.

    Good luck.
