Junk Pages Mess Up Ranking

    Greetings,
Do junk pages mess up your ranking?

Here is an example of a junk page -

We have search script on our site... Someone searched for the word "Blue". This returned 300 pages worth of internal search result pages. These 300 pages ended up getting indexed by Google.

Should I do a no-index on all search results?

It turns out I have 10,000 pages worth of internal search results pages indexed at Google. Will this affect my ranking?

    Thanks.

Google likes large sites. Google hates junk/spam. It will probably filter out all those results soon anyway. If they don't rank individually and you don't necessarily want them to then you could do the internet and google a favour and exclude the results pages from indexing indeed.

not that I know of as long as there are no links in them.

(I let Google index my forums, all I do is check for outbound links, the content of the messages dont really bother me.)
