    Hi all,

Marketing isn't really my thing -- I'm a developer. However, I'm trying to come into it, and while reading marketing blogs helps... it's not something that is a good, solid introduction into the general workings.

So I wanted to ask the experienced of you for guidance. I need to learn as much as I can in a small amount of time. (I don't have time to get a degree in Marketing!) If there are any books that are considered necessary or other materials that I can get access to, please share them with me and I'll get to work.

Any other advice, on top, is very welcome.

It's easy. Just do some market research first:

    1. Find a hungry market
    2. Find out why people want to buy
    3. Give it to them

The above 3 points is very important as it it determines whether your advertising campaign will make money or burn tons of money.

Marketing is my bread-and-butter. I've got marketing books as far as the eye can see. And I always have an updated copy of Dan Kennedy's Ultimate Marketing Plan on my desk. Well actually I have 8 Dan Kennedy products! I love his stuff.

His advice stretches across many different industries, he's got an easy-to-read style, and it works. You will walk away enlightened.

    Good luck!
