just keep on it at least an hour every day,

Late may / early june is also when I seen a drop in traffic and revenue too and traffic is at its lowest levels right now as we speak.

I thought recession too, but it started happened right around late may when kids get out of school/college. A lot of my sites and others tend to do good with that audience group. And like i said last year I remember traffic dropping really badly in september. The only reason why I didn't notice it all throughout summer last year is because thats when i started many of my sites, so they had no way to go except up in traffic when they were new.

I would say if its slow and you started in July that is a good time to of started your site.
The seasonal conversions at your site depend mostly on your niche and what part of the
world your from if location has anything to do with it. I can see where the Northern hemisphere
Summer vacation months can lessen majority of Internet sales. I also see now where the
fuel crisis will keep more people home and purchasing online for fuel savings.

I don't see an increase in online purchasing with people staying home. Actually It looks like sales have dipped at a much faster rate than the traffic has.

You got a point. I just started a couple new sites since may 1st and they already been doing good, to help make up for the sudden drop in traffic on the other sites.

It depends on the niche. I imagine travel and destination sites are getting increases in PVs this time of year.

One of my sites (on credit and debt) hit a slump in March and is just turning around. My others aren't old enough to see a pattern.

Sounds like im one of the few noticing a dip across the board. I got sites in different niches and Im still seeing it across the board. The only sites seeing a bump are my newer sites so obviously they are gonna jump up since they are new so they have nowhere to go but up.

Well its August 10th and im checking my sites across different niches and I can tell you on my established sites which don't have large fluctuations in traffic, right now this is about the slowest it has been all year.

Most sites don't do as well in the summer months in the U.S. for sure. Most of my clients' websites have a decline in traffic and some of mine stay the same, or decline a bit in July. But if you are a vacation site or sell suntan lotion, summer is going to be hot. So it does depend. But for most industries summer is slower.

Im just shocked that most are seeming to only see a slight decline. Im seeing about a 50% drop compared to March/april for many of my sites. And these are established sites that didn't drop in traffic because of SEO, they are still ranked the same in search engines. It just a gradual drop in traffic that got worse as summer went on.

because people are traveling and spending time with family, not in stores or online.

Its funny because I would have thought with kids out of school and stuff that people would be spending more time online.
