 This is crazy! But I'm 70/30 into this.

Not to scare you (and myself). Just want to find out how true is this theory. Anyone heard about this?

Scientific fact: there would be an eclipse on July 22nd 2009. Its path will pass through the earth quake zone in the Pacific Ocean located at the south of Japan & east of Philippines.

Eclipse path on July 22nd 2009: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse.html (from NASA's website)

Mad scientist theory (could be true):
    (1) "... When the Sun and Moon are together on one side of the planet, they pull together and lift up the earth's tectonic plate, just beneath the eclipse. This causes the plate to shift upward, and then an earth quake when the lifted plate gets the little extra push (lift) it needed to move over its neighboring plate. ..."
    (2) "... The tidal forces are also stronger when the sun and moon are inline. The thought is that the liquid hot magma beneath the tectonic plates must also follow a similar principle. The earth rotates beneath the moon faster than the moon orbits the earth. So in theory a few hours before / after the eclipse you could have some shifting in the tidal magma beneath the tectonic plate. ..."

Geeks' simulation (this guy did lots of research -- I do respect him for his hard work):

    (2) Eclipse Earthquake Theory

Better be prepared than sorry later.

I think this is very unique and there definetly is some scientific evidence to support the theory I think there will be some type pf event just not sure of the power it may hold

Yes, I'm not sure how strong it would be. Could be having some earthquake. But will there be any tsunami? God knows.

Well there is no time for Tsunami and Earthquakes as they are natural disasters and Scientists can just predict but can't be sure about it and still no power can assure you about Earthquakes or Tsunami so just pray to God and be prepare to die :) nothing else
    Thanks

Historically there is a direct relationship between the relative positions of the moon, Earth, and Sun and earthquake activity. But, that does NOT mean that there will be earthquake activity EVERY TIME the same conditions occur. All it means is that whenever all three line up, there is a greater probability of major earthquake activity.

Every 19 years the calendar and the relative positions of these three come very close to lining up. Earthquake activity, relative to specific dates on the calendar, tends to follow this 19 year cycle.

Just as it has already been said, this was a hoax which was not even creditable in it's way of presentation of the hoax e-mail or message.

You can find more details about the e-mail message that is being spread all around, and the points which support that it's a hoax here:

Yes, I received the same email, which triggers me to visit the website/link. But that website includes links (some proofs) from Nasa and other authorities. How to explain that?
