I have been getting a js error (see attached screenshot) for 3 days now on this site.

It stops me using smilies when I compose my messages. It works fine on my home laptop but not on my work PC using XP and IE6.

Have you tried it with a different browser to see if it's specific to that browser or not?

It works fine on my laptop using IE6 and Firefox but it won't work on my work PC using IE6.

I realise that js runs differently on different browsers and will have a good look though the code tomorrow to see where its failing and let you know.

Not sure if anything has changed over the last week in the forum to cause this? I have not changed any settings on my PC.

Basically all of the functions used to create a post eg making a link and the smilies don't work so it gets frustrating.

I double checked the modification dates on the files just to be sure... All the JS files for this forum have a modification date/time of 4 Jan 10:08, which is when the the files were copied because the forum was upgraded to 3.5.3... So they are all as expected.

There is a screenshot in the first post.

I will check tomorrow and figure out exactly which line the error is on and try run through the code to see whats going on.

I know there is a screenshot, but that isn't the complete error. If you get it again post it over here so we can figure it out ;)

Clear you cache and restart. Best way to start when you get JS issues
