Journal of a newbie using clickbank and twitter

Hello All

Ok this is going to me my journal of trying to use twitter as a promotion tool for clickbank.

I am sure the advanced clickbank affiliates on this board will wince at some of the things I report about, but we all have to start somewhere.

My budget for this project is practically zero.

I am using cbfeed.com to create the rss feeds.

I am going to create 5 feeds based on subjects that I am interested in, but using just the general term.

e.g music,video,art,console,wine/beer

I am also going to find 2 feeds in relation to the subject in hand, but not as promotion but as a general knowledge feed.

Also 1 other feed on a totally unrelated subject but something I am interested in.

So as not to flood with promotional tweets.

I will be using tweetfeed to set up the tweets and am also looking into tweetlater but need some clarification on that before I start using it.

The first one is setup and is the music promtion

it is setup as follows :

every 3 hours post 1 clickbank promotion on music
every 3 hours post 1 general post on NIN
every 2 hours post 2 other rss feed about NIN
every 1 hour post 1 post about ufos/crop circles


My next one is going to be art

and will update you once that is setup

I am going to run this for 7 days to see what happens.

Good luck with your efforts. Just a quick question: How many followers do you have on twitter?

 

not many followers at present (I have not used a mass follower gather program yet)

I know others have > 1000



I have around 100 followers

I am going to try and find an unobtrusive twitter follow gather program later on this morning, if anyone has any advice on any good free ones please let me know

Just to update it looks as though people are clicking on the links I setup last night (the music test)

 

Have setup my art promotion and also included an art show feed as well

 

I am also trying out the tweetlater 6 day trial and have setup a clickbank beer promotion using that.

have also added psychedelic video rss feed

I have setup the following clickbank feeds :

music : every 3 hours 1 post
art : every 3 hours 2 posts
video : every 3 hours 2 posts
wine : every 6 hours 3 posts
consoles : every 3 hours 3 posts

 

I will report back instantly (or asap) if any of the following happen :

a) I make a sale
b) my twitter account gets locked/banned
c) I have a huge influx of followers
d) I have a mass un-follow

I will leave this running for 7 days and will report back by 3pm next saturday if none of the above happen inbetween

I am now going to look into threads about using us freeads

 

How many accounts you use and how many followers you have?

 

1 twitter account and 100+ followers

I know I need many more followers

 

just need to find a good free way of getting more followers

have tried searching for some systems but they all seemed to timeout when trying to sign up

 

what i will probably do after I have started my usfreeads campaign is get a brand new twitter account and promote totally different products

at present I do not want to start an aggressive follower collection as I have heard that twitter can ban accounts that way.

Also trying not to flood with tweets

100 followers is nothing. Get up to 10000 followers if you want to get some money, follow specific niche users and remember that twitter hops usually convert really bad.
