[Joomla] Whats Wrong With This Picture?

Ok I have quite a few sites that are made in Joomla. I also can get most of them very strong first page rankings on Google for their main keywords.

However it seems that only the home page gets indexed. Yahoo can pick up hundreds of pages but Google usually gets about 1 - 4.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

how are you at doing different meta descriptions for each page? it's not good if you have the same copy and pasted meta tags for each page. i know this is can be a huge pain especially with a site like mine where i have over 300+ articles (though most are indexed by google). to help ease my pain, i use SEO Simple which makes meta descriptions based on your article's first paragraph. it skips any articles if i have manually typed in meta descriptions or key words.

I was trying to use JoomSeo to take care of that aspect for me. However I will give the one you mentioned a shot.

However if anybody is having indexing problems you can try this. This is what I just did and it seemed to work.

Install Xmap then the extensions for seyret and or fireboard if you use either. Then make sure everything is published. Afterward add a new menu item that is of type "component" and choose xmap. I now have every page including forum posts and videos on that sitemap.

This should fairly well. Just redid 3 sites this way and submitted sitemaps so I will see in an hour or so.

In the mean time I will play around with that seo mambot.
