Hello Everyone, I am planning to develop a website in joomla where there are 4 types of users. I need that at the time of registration, There should be a drop-down list where user can select its type of category and the subscription he wants. I need this because each type will have different functionality. Is this possible in joomla...??? Which version of joomla should I use.. 1.5 or 1.7..?? which component should i use..?? I have seen the demo of OSE Membership... Can that help..??? Please help me if anybody know how can I do this in joomla..??? Thanks.
if you want to integrate membership then its good or for community install Jomsocial commercial component its best community component
I would recommend Community Builder. It is very good for this. I use 1.5 all the time so it works for me.
Hello everyone... I am using joomsocial in joomla 1.5 and My site is going to have four types of users... I have created the radio buttons which shows up at the registration and user can select its type.. Now, I want o create a group in joomla or joomsocial where user can be automatically moved to the group depending on the user type he selects...... Because the privilages will depend on the user types... Can anybody tell me how to do that... I am not able to find a solution for this... I need an urgent guidance with this... Please help me out here... Waiting for the replies... Thanks..
If you're just starting the website and are not bound to certain older plugins, you should start with latest version (Joomla 1.7) so you get latest platform and interface benefits.
