Although WP is a nice CMS too I prefer Joomla, We don't need to have PHP skills to install and set up a nice site. Cek my joomla showcase http://joomlapoweredsites.com
Depends on what site you want to make overall, I would favor wordpress though because of the easy navigation in the admin panel and the designs you can make.
We dont use either as we use .Net rather than PHP but by all accounts the above is correct. Joomla is more powerful and therefore almost naturally, Wordpress is much easier for novices to set up
Joomla is great for large scale sites, especially community driven sites. And Wordpress is great for smaller content driven sites. It's also great for blogs, of course.
i voted for wordpress, because it is easier to administrate and the most important is that wordpress is more friendly for search engines
That's kind of like comparing oranges to apples. If you want a Blog with some advanced features, then WP works great, but for a full blown site (blog included)... Joomla! is your answer. WP is not nearly as flexible as Joomla for site production. ... at least as far as I'm concerned.
The two are hardly comparable. Personally, I like wordpress, but I've never had a lot of need for a heavy CMS like Joomla. Out of the sheer weight of the software, the usability, and support, I would always use wordpress unless Joomla was very justified.
Joomla is a more complex program with lots of functionality, but WordPress is easier to use and has much better plugins for blogging than what's available for Joomla.
Wordpress for blogs (not Joomla ) Sites would probably work best with joomla, they have more options such as galleries and polls.
Nothing to chose between the two. Both can be used to do anything I want them to do, really - it would finally dpened on your skills then. I am using Joomla right now to run something big - but I am moving to Worpress to do the same thing - why ? becoz wordpress does it more simpler Worpdress, is Powerful
