Joomla v1.5 SEO Settings > add suffix (yes or no)

    I already have Search Engine Friendly URLs enabled. I've enabled "Add suffix to URLs" option in Joomla but I'm starting to wonder if it's really necessary for the search engines. Thoughts?

    Suffix Disabled

    Suffix Enabled

    it's not necessary, for instance, Wordpress never uses that structure
