    Hi All,

I am a newbie to joomla and have a template question.

I want to change my current template, if I install another one and don't like that one, can I just revert back to the current one or will anything be damaged in the process?

With Wordpress I can swap and change templates as I please, is it the same with Joomla?

Also what is your recommendation of a site for Joomla templates?
    Can be free or paid

Changing back and forth on Joomla templates works pretty much the same as Wordpress themes. Nothing in the data will be "damaged" in the move, but it will look pretty ugly until you get the logo uploaded into the new theme file, move the modules around to the best place in the new theme, etc.
If you have a high traffic site, probably best to make changes like this when your traffic is lower if possible. Take a good look at where your modules are now and where they should go in the new layout.
If there is a chance you might move everything back to the old template, be sure to get screen shots of your current configuration and print them out and store them in a safe place so you will have them to refer to if you switch back.

It's not tough but I wish you good luck anyway!

Here is a list of free sites : LINK

As the other person said, there is no problem changing back and
forth with templates. You can even put a button on the home page
to allow others to change to the template they like best and it will
    not hurt anything.
