Joomla Site Problem

Hi all,

Im new to the forum, but im hoping someone can advise me on the problem.

Today my joomla site has some up with the following:

Warning: Unterminated comment starting line 3 in /home/hrcac/public_html/templates/consultant/index.php on line 3

Can someone advise how to resolve this issue? as ive never experienced this before.

File may be corrupted, try reuploading index.php

 

Thanks for your reply. Seems very strange as nothing has been touched on the website for a while. Do you think the host may have changed something to cause the problem?
i.e. a server update or something along those lines?

The error means that somewhere in Joomla (index.php), there is a comment which has not been closed, ie

/* This is a comment
echo 'That has not been closed, as there is no */';
?>

It should be a simple matter of finding the non ending comment, and adding */

 

Thanks very much for your comments. The site is back up and running again which is great news, but the template is now all out of place!

What im prepared to do is give someone a small donation through paypal if they can resolve this issue for me?
Im still concerned why it happened in the first place, as its been fine for months..

Remove the large whitespace in this, and you should be okay.
