    Hi all,

I am using joomseo and artio joomsef and have succesfully sorted out my URLs to read as i would like them to,

however i would like to display the page title tags that i put in using the artio joomsef manager, i have tried many different areas and almost get there but not quite, all i want is the title that i add into the parameters when creating urls in the edit url function. all i want is the meta tag title from this feature nothing else, no site name, keywords or anything else displayed.

currently my site is displaying the url in the page title area. so have gone a full circle and am no nearer getting the final product

any help would be greatly appreciated

    Rob

    @Rob,

You should try the new joomla extentension JooFox Content Title plugin, you can find it on the extensions website.
It uses the Title alias field from the content page panel and puts that in to the html Title tag.

At the moment this tag is empty on your site.

tried all your suggestions and still no good, downloaded joomfox title and still no good

I am sure it is a configuration problem that i have not set something up right, the urls are fine, i want it to display the page titles that i input into the artio joomsef title box, i realise some of the pages arent set up but some are and the ones that i have done are not working.

if anyone can sort out the config problems and get this working properly please PM me as about to pull my hair out and storm off in a huff.

The Joomlatwork patch will only damage your site if you have an component that also rewrites the index.php file.

Otherwise it only brings you more options to do SEO

The most problems, as was here the case, is that you use different plugins of handle the metatags.

If you use the Joomlatwork patch, disable the JoomlSEO and the Artio Metatag plugin and it runs fine.

I ran into the same problem. After trying all sorts of things, I found out that the latest version of JoomSEF was at fault. I tried an ealier version and everything worked as it should.

    Hope this helps.

use func IF in php for check url. if location is home pages let title is home pages key word,, else use name of content for title of pages.

() your must to know content title object name.

first of all try "nuSEF" which has some new hacks for <title>

apart that, there's no easy way to automagically SEO a joomla site, but don't worry, it's still better than Drupal or Xoops or other stuff.

just keep in mind that using SEF (any flavour) will slow down your site a bit, so you better study carefully how to better cache the content.
