Hi guys, i finally decided to go with joomla for my site attached to vbulliten and attached to coppermine photogallery.

Now i just needed to ask about some modules..

what are the modules/extensions called that help with SEO??

and what is the point of the adsense module?

There's a list of Joomla SEO mods here starting with SEF for friendly URLs - it helps do all the mod-rewrite stuff for you ;)

And the AdSense module, if you're talking about JoomlaSpan AdSense Module, is there to be switched on and off as the modular system in Joomla! is so good at; I run AdSense module sometimes and a custom banner module at other times :)

Check out 404 SEF, there is a paid solution as well, though I've never used it.

Well on the extensions page there's 404_SEF, 404SEFx & SEF Advance for starters; if you've got the time to tinker with them on a test set-up then have a go and see which one suits your needs best :) The last one I used was SEF Advance and it was good but needed some tweaking. I've not used 404SEFx yet but it looks like it has some useful features.

True. It wont include keywords though. If you ever need this to occur, you need a 3rd party one. Reasons why you might need that?

    1. You need to post a link to a site but you can only put a URL, no anchor text.
    2. You want the tiny benefit for having keyword in URL

    Hi
I want to recommend a joomla seo Plugin:
    Smart SEO

look for it at JED or at "JJextensions" Website

This plugin gives you the ability to control META TAGS and TITLE of all

pages and component in your joomla websites.
