Joomla SEF Urls

I've been using joomla for quite some time now, till now i've been using /content/view/xx/x type urls.

I have seen a couple of joomla sites having the title of the article content in the url which makes the url descriptive and easier to remember.

Is there any plugin, module or add-on which i can install or edit to get this done ?

Sorry if this has been asked before, i tried to search cudnt find anything :)

    Help appreciated...

open-sef.org has the info and a download link. I believe your host needs to be running Apache and mod_rewrite has to be enabled for it to work.

Note: I just had a problem with OpenSEF where while it was enabled, it was preventing content from showing on my frontpage. Now, my site only works if it is disabled.

So, I would no longer use OpenSEF on important sites!

There already has SEF Urls module in Joomla1.5 , so you needn't third-party components anymore
