Joomla or Wordpress

I'm going to create new CMS website, but I cannot decide which one to use - Joomla or Wordpress. I have some experience with Joomla as I already created 4 websites using version 1.5, but on the other side I have none experience with Wordpress. I know that decision should be based on what I need, so here is an example: velejapark.com . My site will be a bit less comprehensive, but in addition it should have nice image gallery. Please have in mind that I need similar functionality as the map which you can see under "ponudba" -> "- trgovine". I'm not sure if that can be done with either, but lets be optimistic.

Template is going to be greenish as well. Oh, I must not forgot that my programming skills are very limited so please keep that in mind as well.

Thanks for advices and suggestions in advance!

as I mentioned in this thread I would suggest you to go with WP because of 3 very important reasons :
    forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2571790&p=18152338#post18152338

1- Its easy to work with
    2- Its easy to upgrade
3- Customizations are away easier and better than joomla.

    I hope it helps

joomla is very professional compared to wordpress, however, wordpress is very easy to manipulate and to work with. I recommend wordpress for you to work with.

I agree with Al.Ch on two points,

Its easy to upgrade - Wordpress has the most easiest way of upgrading to latest version. Moreover Joomla releases new version every few days and its really a headache updating all the time.

Customizations are a way easier and better than joomla - Your customizations and settings are not disturbed by the upgrade.

Wordpress is a lot easier to move from one domain to another. It has thousands of plugins to extend its features.

Wordpress from version 3 onwards has become my favorite. Certainly the best.

I'd say WordPress. It has some really nice themes and add-ons. It's also very user-friendly.

Well no doubt wordpress is much easier than joomla but regarding the efficiency joomla is better. When we are talking about professionalism joomla is very professional as compared to wordpress, just one more thing i want to add is wordpress is very easy to edit (manipulate) and make changes, so rest all upon you what you want easier to navigate or well in performance.

Use for your gallery wordpress CMS. That's not difficult for administering and adding materials from you pc, also from mobile devices and tablets. But joomla have have a lot functions and plugins as compared with wordpress.

I prefer WP best. It is not only simpler to develop, but also its Admin panel is easier forthe site owners to understand.
