I have played around with both but currently use Wordpress because I don't have the need for the additional Joomla features.
so i dont have to convert from wordpress i can implement wp into joomla ? i tried the site u talked about but cant find the openwp component can you give us a link to download and install ?
I prefer Wordpress. Nowadays, wordpress can also implemented with e-Cart and just not for a common blog.
This is quite stupid question...if you are making blog then use WordPress but if you want some large site then use Joomla of course!
I would say Wordpress is better all around. A technically inclined person can create any type of site using the Wordpress engine and the plethora of plugins makes so many task push button.
I am currently using both Wordpress and Joomla for my sites. My joomla site looks much more professional, and it is easier to add and organize content. Still, you can't go wrong with Wordpress. If I had to choose, I would pick Joomla.
I understand that Joomla 1.5 certainly is better SEO'd than it used to be but still misses the mark in terms of full ability; I'm not convinced in its handling of multi-page articles out of the box. Have you got any example data of Google-loved large Joomla 1.5 sites with multi-page articles?
